Formlabs Tough Resin 2000 is the strongest and stiffest material in the tough resin family. Use this material when prototyping functional parts which require very good strength and performance. Tough Resin 2000 has the ability to elongate by a percentage twice as much as it’s older version, Tough Resin. It has a greater flexibility to Tough Resin while also having a similar Tensile Modulus. Tough 2000 is ideal for prototyping strong, stiff parts or prototypes which will later be manufactured in ABS. Tough 2000 produces a professional, sleek finish. It’s shiny, grey finish resembles the look of a finished, thermoformed product. Tough 2000 has the highest Heat Deflection than any other resin in the tough resin family. Use Tough 2000 for products that require good mechanical properties at exposed temperatures. Tough 2000 can be post machined once printed and cured. Being able to post machine Tough 2000 means that not only can this material be used as a prototyping material, but it can be used to create personalised jigs or mounts to be used in the manufacturing industry.
